Expected Kingston region road closures and delays for Mon Feb 12th to Sun Feb 19th

A summary of expected road closures in Kingston and area as made available by the MTO, City of Kingston and surrounding municipalities for the week of Monday, February 12th to Sunday, February 19th:

The 401 westbound at Gardiners Rd will have the right lane closed intermittently for an engineering investigation.

Replacement/widening of Cataraqui River Bridge and widening for staging and 6 lane configuration will restrict the 401 in both directions from Montreal St to Highway 15.

Princess St will remain closed between Clergy and Barrie streets as the street is reconstructed. Intersections remain open. Businesses remain open.

The Princess/Clergy intersection will close for approximately one week starting Feb. 14. Crews are installing a temporary sewer bypass in connection with the reconstruction of Princess St.

FebFest activities will require Market Street to be closed from King to Ontario from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Feb. 17, 18, and 19th.

Expect delays on Front Road between Days Road and Sand Bay Lane as it will be reduced to one lane eastbound until the end of February to accommodate Utilities Kingston site-servicing work.

Delays will continue on Front Road between INVISTA’s east entrance and Trailhead Place until May to allow crews to finalize bridge work.

Travellers on Taylor Kidd Boulevard from Bayridge to Old Colony should expect eastbound lane closures until the end of May to allow for watermain construction by Utilities Kingston.

Continued work on the Amherst Island Wind Project will affect traffic on Front Rd, 2nd and 3rd Concession Rd, South Shore Rd, Stella 40 Foot Rd and Lower 40 Foot Rd.
