Mark Seymour’s killers sentenced to life imprisonment

Two men convicted for the homicide of Mark Seymour in late 2015 have been sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole for 12 years.

Shawn Brown and Derrick Blackett were arrested in mid-December of 2015 following an in depth Kingston Police investigation into the September 28th, 2015 violent death of 36-year-old Mark Seymour, also known as Mark Bramley.

Brown and Blackett admitted to stabbing Seymour during a robbery gone wrong in Seymour’s Montreal St apartment. Over the course of several months, Kingston Police were able to trace back to the culprits using cell phone records and items discarded near the crime scene, including balaclavas, gloves and the butcher knife used in the fatal stabbing.
