OPP officer charged with HTA violation after crash

An OPP officer has been charged with a Highway Traffic Act violation after being involved in a collision, say OPP in a press release.
On April 11th, 2018 at approximately 5:35 p.m., an on-duty officer of the Ontario Provincial Police was traveling northbound on County Road 29. The officer was in a marked OPP cruiser with its emergency light activated when he collided with a northbound grey sports utility vehicle.
The officer sustained minor injuries. The 17-year-old driver and her passenger were transported to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
Constable Vince Tremblay, 57-years-old, was charged with Turn not in Safety contrary to the Highway Traffic Act, section 142(1). The officer is a 25 year member of the OPP and is currently posted at the Leeds Detachment.
