OPP seeking suspect in downtown Napanee bank robbery

This afternoon at 12:23pm officers with the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to an armed robbery at the Royal Bank of Canada on Dundas Street in downtown Napanee.

Officers arrived on scene within minutes but the male suspect fled on foot. The Tactics and Rescue Unit with the OPP attended the scene with a Canine Unit in an attempt to locate the suspect with negative results.

Photos of the suspect were obtained via surveillance footage and police are looking for assistance in identifying the male. He is described as a white male in his 30’s, 5’8″ to 6′ tall, medium build, scruff on his face. He was wearing baggy jeans, a white t-shirt, black hoodie, a black ball cap and had two sets of sunglasses – one on his face, and the other above the brim of his ball cap.
