Serious incident involving motor vehicle closes Brock St

A young man is now in ICU and Kingston Police are asking for public assistance in locating a suspect vehicle after what Kingston Police are describing as “a serious motor vehicle incident” on Brock St early on the morning of Monday, May 28th.

Kingston Fire & Rescue and Frontenac Paramedics were dispatched to the scene for a medical emergency at around 2:50 a.m. this morning. Kingston Police were called to the scene to assist paramedics shortly thereafter and began an investigation into the incident. The roadway was closed until about 9 a.m.

Kingston Police have now confirmed previous reports from an employee of a nearby business which indicated that the incident involved “car surfing”, in which one or more people stand atop a vehicle while it is moving. Kingston Police have confirmed that a 23-year-old male was taken to hospital with serious injuries, including head trauma.
