On March 16, 2018, at approximately 1:45 p.m., officers from the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 401 westbound at Division Street in the city of Kingston.
A white transport truck with no trailer was travelling westbound on Highway 401 when it lost control and crossed over the westbound on-ramp lane at Division Street and into the north side rock cut.
The 58 year old male driver of the transport truck was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The westbound Highway 401 on-ramp from Division Street was closed until 4:30 p.m.
The OPP is continuing with the investigation and charges may be pending against the driver.
