Trenton man arrested for drug trafficking

On Friday the 30th of March, 2018 at 1:30 AM officers of the Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a male sleeping in a vehicle at a parking lot located off of County Road 40.

Officers attended the scene and arrested the male for driving a motor vehicle while disqualified. Subsequently officers then located a quantity of methamphetamine, cocaine, morphine, and large quantity of cash.

A 36 year old male from Trenton is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Morphine – Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 – Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
  • Driving while disqualified – Section 259(4) of the Criminal Code

The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice on Friday the 30th of March, 2018.
