Youth missing in Kingston

UPDATE: Percephony was located safe and sound on Saturday, June 9th.

A 12-year-old local youth has been missing for over 24 hours and Kingston Police are investigating her disappearance.

Percephony White has been missing since around 3 a.m. on Friday June 8, 2018. She is 5′ 3″ tall and weighs 144lbs. She has blue eyes and blonde hair just past her shoulders, with half her head shaved but growing in.

She has been known to frequent both the downtown and north-end areas of Kingston as well as the west-end mall area. Kingston Police have been notified and have been actively looking for her.

“Percephony has complex mental illness and neurological developmental disorder,” says her mother, Paige Upchurch.

“She is an extremely vulnerable person with very serious mental health conditions. She has been without medication for 2 days now.”

While she is only 12 years old, her mother says that she physically appears to be much older, often passing for being in her late teens. “Mentally, she operates much younger,” says Upchurch.

Her mother says she could have altered her looks by dying her hair.

If anyone knows her whereabouts, they are asked to please contact Kingston Police at 613-549-4660.
